Terms and Conditions

Intentional Creativity® Coaching Agreement

This agreement is intended for use between the client and the coach for sessions utilizing the Intentional Creativity® and Inquired Based CoachingTM methodology.

A coaching relationship

The coaching relationship between the coach and the client is founded upon mutual trust and respect. The central focus of the coaching relationship is the well-being of the client. In the coaching relationship, the coach and client co-create an outcome in response to what the client wants to address during the coaching session. The coach will be supporting the client in moving towards the understanding and clarity the client desires. The coach supports the client in exploring new ways to view situations, individuals, possibilities, and in developing approaches, plans and actions. The client is responsible for their participation during the session and taking action on their intentions.

At times, personal development may be a challenging experience. There may be times when the client makes new discoveries about the way an individual’s own actions play a part in situations the individual wishes to change. This type of self-discovery can at times be uncomfortable yet can also promote the individual’s capacity to develop new perspectives and grow beyond their comfort zone. What coaching is not Coaching is not therapy and the client is responsible for accessing therapeutic support outside of the coaching relationship if this is pertinent to their well-being. Coaching is not an advisory service. In a coaching relationship, clients are encouraged to take responsibility for their development, do the work to understand themselves better and be accountable for their actions.

What a client can expect in an Intentional Creativity Coaching session

The coaching session based in the Intentional Creativity methodology uses visual thinking, inquiry and creativity practices for the client to access their inner content, reflect on this content as they see it in front of them, and discern how they can move forward as befitting their unique circumstances, resources, beliefs and intentions. Visual thinking refers to using images to deepen understanding of what the individual is experiencing and identify what the individual desires to create within and outside of themselves. Notes created during a session as an output of visual thinking serve the client as an anchor to come back to for remembering and revitalizing their learnings. Examples of commonly used creativity practices: Drawing, writing, visualization and somatic movement. These practices are fully guided by the coach and the client is not required to have previous experience or notable skills in these activities. Clients might need to have materials with them to participate in the creativity practices, (paper or journal, pens, markers, canvas, paint, brushes etc.) and the coach will notify the client in advance of what’s required, particularly if the session is taking place online.

Confidentiality

Coaching conversations as confidential, and the coach will not voluntarily divulge information about a coaching relationship without the written or verbal permission of the client.

The coaching process and timeframes

I invite you to think of Coaching as a process. With the Intentional Creativity® methodology, individuals can access new insights in a short time, however, several sessions may be recommended for the client to activate and sustain their unique intentions and desired outcomes. Various factorsimpact the duration of a Coach and Client relationship, such as complexity of circumstances the client is facing and capacity of the client to embody new insights and take action.
